Senior

GWHC registers teams in the men and women's divisions in the Auckland Hockey Association (AHA) winter competition. 

​

Teams practice Wednesday evenings at Dio, with games played on Saturday or Sunday at 7 venues across Auckland.

​

In 2025, GWHC entered teams in the women's  division two and the men’s division three.

​

The 17 game season runs from late March until late August, with no play Matariki or King’s Birthday weekends.

​​

We are a small club and our players like to have serious fun and ensure everyone has a positive experience. If you would like to have a hit with our players, we'd love to see you at our musters. No obligation turf time bring a friend or two.  Register on PlayHQ with the link below.

2026 Season

Muster and pre-season training

Our first session is Wednesday 4 March at Dio from 7.30-8.30pm. All welcome, no obligation.

​2026 we anticipate having teams in the Ladies D1 & D2 grades and the Mens D3 & D4 grades.*.

* GWHC requires a minimum of 14 players to register a team in the AHA winter competition *

​​Wednesday 7.30-8.30pm @ DIO.

 

​Note: Dio currently does not allow access to their turf during the school holidays.

2026 Fees

Fee Schedule: $540.00​​ (unchanged from 2025)

Goalies can claim up to 50% discount with own gear

​

Payment Information:  Payments can be made by credit card when registering for the competition on playHQ. 

​

Payment is due in full before the first game, please contact the treasurer@grammarwindsor.org.nz if you need to discuss payment options.

What do our fees cover?

​

  • AHA and NZHF fees and team entry costs

  • Turf hire

  • Training equipment: balls, cones, bibs etc

  • Uniforms: shirts and shorts/skirts (returned at the end of the season)

​

Uniforms & equipment

Players will be provided with a uniform at the start of the season, which must be returned in good condition after the final game or at the prize-giving event.

​

Each player is responsible for bringing their own hockey stick, shin guards, mouthguard, and a pair of orange socks (the official GWHC color), which can be purchased during the online registration process.

Player transfers

If you are new to Grammar Windsor Hockey Club and have previously played in New Zealand, a transfer will need to be arranged. This can be done through PlayHQ during your registration.

Please register early and inform your captain, so they can coordinate the transfer process with AHA.

GWHC endeavours to provide players with a framework for player and team development across the grades.

Currently GWHC has teams in the ladies D1 & D2, and mens D3 & D4 grades. We hope to grow the club to have teams competitive in all senior grades.
